Portrait Reverberation Percussion Trio

Reverberation Percussion Trio

Reverberation Percussion is a trio made up of percussionists Elman Mecid, Fanis Gioles and Juliette Serrié. It was founded in 2018 in Hamburg.

Keen to expand its repertoire, the trio is always on the lookout for new ideas, and sees musical creation as the common thread running through its work. The "Crossroad" project brings together four female composers of different nationalities and musical backgrounds.

The project resulted in four world premieres for percussion trio, including one for percussion trio, organ and choir. The concert took place in February 2023 in Hamburg during the "Orgelherbstwinter" Festival.

Molecules of living truth

"Molecules of living truth" is a percussion recital on the theme of the five elements. In Chinese tradition, these elements are represented by wood, water, metal, earth and fire. Each piece in the recital represents an element, and one of them includes dancers. A poem is recited between each piece, marking the link between the elements and the music. The entire recital is available on Youtube.

Portrait Daughters of the Future

waltraud900 is an international artist collective based in Düsseldorf, continuously working on interdisciplinary and multilingual collaboration since 2012. In their works, the artists focus on contemporary questions of identity and social belonging from a feminist perspective.

Melanie Zanin

Daughters of the Future

The waltraud900 artists' collective (Bianca Künzel, Phaedra Pisimisi, Ria Papadopoulou, Dorle Trachternach) is working with young performers on a transcription of the tragedy "Iphigénie à Aulis", in which King Agamemnon sacrifices his daughter Iphigénie to bring thousands of ships and warriors to Troy.

She doesn't resist, but rejoices in her own death. Is she a heroine? What sacrifices are the daughters of the future willing to make, and what sacrifices will they no longer be willing to make? The character of Iphigénie becomes the representative of a young generation looking fearlessly to the future.

World premiere: 05.11.23 (Düsseldorf, Germany)
