It began on La Reunion

Juliette Serrié is a French percussionist who grew up on Reunion Island, where she began her classical percussion studies with Sophie Gallet.

In 2013, she moved to mainland France to become a professional percussionist. She studied for five years in Monaco in Christian Hamouy's class, where the world of contemporary music broadened her horizons.

She also took part in several master-classes with Paul Mindy, a specialist in Brazilian percussion, nurturing her growing interest in traditional music.

A mix of styles

Her passion for encounters has led her to seek out a blend of musical styles. In the course of her personal and professional career, the cross-fertilization of disciplines (music, theater and dance) has taken shape as a working perspective.

Her musical repertoire ranges from classical to contemporary music, including musical theater, experimental music and improvisation. Keen to pass on her art, she teaches at various music schools.
